Learning about and appreciating our environment is so much more valuable when you can live it, and not just read about it. All students participate in school community service time to improve and care for our campus and local areas.

Beginning in 4th grade, the highlight for Soldier Hollow students is our longtime tradition of extended overnight trips. Not only do these adventures help support and further our environmental education, they help to foster friendships, teamwork, and special memories.

We approach academics with a higher level of thinking. Our K-8 model and smaller class sizes create a sense of family and community with our students and staff. With excellent teachers and a great support network, students are challenged at their ability level. Our students graduate with the success and confidence they need to excel in high school and beyond.

Students at Soldier Hollow Charter School embrace the outdoors in all seasons! We have an 8-week ski and biathlon program that concludes with our very own Olympic competition and cultural celebration.

Take the Classroom into the Natural World

Place-based learning immerses students in local heritage, landscapes, cultures, and community, and uses these experiences as a foundation for study in subjects across the curriculum.
